Course Descriptions

MN/WI/FL Permit to Carry is for those who would like the opportunity to legally carry a pistol in public. This course is approximately 3-4 hours long and includes classroom instruction and a live-fire qualification course. In the classroom portion you will learn about the legal requirements of carrying a pistol, techniques for carrying, shooting fundamental, firearms safety, as well as the psychological and physiological effects of a violent encounter.

This is primarily a classroom-based course. The only live-fire portion is the qualification.

You will receive a certificate at the end of the course which will allow you to apply for a Permit to Carry from your local sheriff. If you are a resident of WI, this course will also qualify you to apply for your Wisconsin permit to carry. You can also get your non-resident carry permit from Florida which will allow you to carry in 6 additional states. (Price: $75 per person)  Not an NRA course.

Beginning Defensive Pistol is designed for those who have their permit to carry or want more intensive defensive pistol training. This course will challenge you to move beyond basic shooting techniques into the more advanced techniques of drawing from a holster, shooting while moving, and reactive shooting. The course of fire will prepare you for the reality of close proximity violent engagements. There is a short classroom session, but this is primarily a live-fire training course for those who are comfortable handling and firing a pistol. The course of fire is approximately 300 rounds.
